So what even is therapy, really? Talk therapy is a conversation between two people in which solution is sought. Long gone is the archaic ritual of a dark room, a leather couch, and a therapist asking "how does that make you feel" while jotting in a notepad. Therapy today has evolved into a collaborative healing conversation on what is and what is not working in your life and learning ways to think differently about it all.
This new approach to therapy is beneficial to anyone seeking positive change in their lives. From complex trauma to just feeling "a little off," solution focused therapy helps clarify why we feel the way we do and illuminates the control we can have over out thought processes.
Making the decision to seek out therapy is hard. Sometimes, figuring out how to pay for therapy is equally as hard. Our upfront prices are meant to be as accessible as possible. Though we can bill your insurance for services, if you choose to pay cash we pass the savings that we would pay an insurance biller directly to you. Currently we are not in-network with any insurance companies.
If paying our cash rate...
Our cash price is meant to be competitive. Our cash price reflects a discount that is passed directly to you that otherwise would go to our insurance biller for their work. If you have insurance and would like to pay our cash rate we can provide you with an insurance company standard "superbill" that you can utilize to obtain re-imbursement from your insurance company. We most often see that our services at the least can be applied to your yearly deductible.
If paying our Insurance rate...
Our insurance rate is simply our cash rate plus the cost of our insurance biller. Those with top-rate insurance programs may find that they only pay a small copay out of pocket and let us worry about the rest. For many there are deductibles, co-insurance, and copays that must be paid. Insurance companies may ask that you pay for part or all of the insurance rate until out-of-pocket maximums are met. You will be responsible for any part of the insurance billed rate (currently $120 for sessions, $180 for intake) should your policy not cover services. If you have insurance and would rather turn in a superbill to your insurance company to seek reimbursement yourself we can give you a "superbill" and charge you our cash rate.
Figuring out how to pay for therapy can be complicated. If you have any questions please call and speak with us. We do not want money, insurance, or fear of the unknown to stop you from seeking services.
